During the use of Raymond roller mill, if the temperature of the equipment rises abnormally, it will not only affect the grinding efficiency, but also may cause equipment damage and reduce the service life.

Composition and structure of Raymond roller mill

Grinding roller: It integrates core functions such as grinding, fineness adjustment, efficiency enhancement, wear resistance, and uniformity. It grinds the material into powder by rotating extrusion, and adjusts the pressure to flexibly meet various fineness requirements. It adopts high-hardness wear-resistant materials, which are wear-resistant and long-life. The material is evenly stressed during grinding to avoid over-grinding or under-grinding and ensure uniform particle size.

Grinding ring: Grinds with the grinding roller at high speed to make large pieces of material into fine powder. Its core function is to firmly support the grinding roller during operation and guide the grinding roller to roll along a stable trajectory. The two work together to press the grinding material tightly to ensure efficient operation of the equipment.

Shovel: The main function is to shovel the material entering the mill and send it between the grinding roller and the grinding ring for grinding. It is usually made of wear-resistant materials to resist the wear of abrasives.

Analyzer: Used to control the fineness of the finished product. The particle size of the powder can be controlled by adjusting the speed of the analyzer.

Fan: Blow the ground powder into the analyzer for sorting.

Cyclone collector: Used to collect qualified finished powder.

Pipeline system: Connects various components to ensure smooth airflow.

The following are several effective solutions to the problem of Raymond roller mill overheating, which can help maintain stable operation of the equipment and improve overall performance:

(1) Control the bearing room temperature below 70°C

The bearing room temperature of the Raymond roller mill shall not exceed 70°C.

Once the bearing is found to be overheated, it should be stopped immediately, and the bearing and bearing seat accessories should be disassembled and cleaned to ensure that there are no impurities inside and the lubrication is unobstructed.

(2) Lubricate the grinding roller device on time

The powder inlet bearing of the grinding roller device should be filled with lubricating oil in time according to the operating specifications of the Raymond roller mill. If the oil seal is found to be aging or leaking, it should be replaced immediately, and the lubrication system should be cleaned regularly to prevent overheating due to poor lubrication.

(3) Lubricate key bearings regularly

Grinding roller bearings: Add oil once per shift.
Main engine center bearing: Add oil once every 4 shifts.
Blower bearings: Add oil once a month.
Reasonable lubrication frequency is essential to maintain the long-term stable operation of the Raymond roller mill.

(4) Check whether the extension pipeline is unobstructed

Blockage of the extension (classifier) pipeline will cause abnormal airflow and increase the system temperature. The pipeline should be checked regularly to avoid affecting the efficiency of the Raymond roller mill's circulation system.

(5) Check the viscosity and type of lubricating oil

Using oil that does not meet the requirements is likely to cause abnormal temperature rise. Lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity and brand should be selected according to the technical parameters of the Raymond roller mill, and replaced regularly to ensure that the equipment is in the best lubrication state.
